- William Headley Agnew, a former resident of Farmington, Mo., passed away April 15, 1964 at the age of 84 in Hemet, California, where he had resided for the past several years. Mr. Agnew was born in Ste. Genevieve County on August 2, 1879, and for many years was associated with the McCarthy Brothers Construction Co. He is survived by one son, W. F. Agnew, of DeSoto; two daughters, Elizabeth (Mrs. Arthur W. Smith) of Potosi, and Cora D. (Mrs. James W. Cox) of Jefferson City; three grandsons; three granddaughters; and two great-grandsons. One son, Floyd Agnew, and his wife, Cora Elizabeth (Doss) Agnew preceded him in death. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 17, at the Gum and Son Funeral Chapel, Potosi, with the Rev. O. D. Niswonger officiating. Interment was in the Parkview Cemetery, Farmington, under the direction of Gum & Son Service.
