Note
He moved to Williamsburgh, Massachusetts in 1772, which was then but a wilderness. He erected there a two story frame house, and built a saw-mill and grist-mill. His house was burned, and his mills carried off by a freshet, and he was drafted, and went into the Revolutionary army in 1775. His farm was on one of the highest hills in the town. |
