Obit -- Florence T. Faylor Jan. 13, 1926 -- May 3, 2006
Florence T. Faylor, 80, Missouri Valley, died May 3 at Creighton University Medical Center, Omaha. Florence Teresa Lyons Faylor was born Jan. 13, 1926 in Yonkers, N.Y. to Martin (Pop) and Sarah (Quinn) Lyons who were from Tuam, Ireland. Flo was always proud of her Irish heritage. She married Dean Faylor in New York, Dec. 30, 1950 and moved to Harrison County. Flo was head bookkeeper for the family farm and construction and trucking businesses. She was also chief cook and bottle washer, raising four children. Flo was active in the Holy Name Catholic Church, Mondamin, where she was an EME. She enjoyed her book club, card club, sewing, crocheting, knitting, gardening, flowers, and spoiling her grandchildren. Flo was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Thomas; and sisters, Margaret and Sarah. Survivors include her husband, Dean; sons, Tim and his wife, Linda, Magnolia; Jim and his wife, Mary, Omaha; daughters, Anne Turone and her husband, Rick, Mary Patricia Fulton and her husband, Rick, both of Omaha; and grandchildren, Jill Frederick, Jay Faylor, Kerry Faylor, Maureen Fulton, Joel Fulton, Catie Faylor, Sarah Faylor, Nicolas Turone, Harrison Turone and Michael Turone. Funeral Services were held May 8 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Mondamin, Rev. Fr. Ben Kenkel, celebrant. Organist was Brenda Marshall, vocalist was Loene Herman. Casket Bearers were All of Her Grandchildren. Interment was in St. Bridget's Cemetery, Magnolia.
