FROHNA, Mo. -- Raymond August Sides, 93, of Frohna died Thursday, Nov. 10, 2005, at Perry County Nursing Home.

He was born Aug. 13, 1912, in Pocahontas, son of Benjamin F. and Amelia Froemsdorf Sides. He and Ella O. Wahlers were married April 8, 1934. She died Dec. 15, 1999.

Sides was machinist for Wagner Electric. He was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Frohna, Concordia Men's Club, LLL and Braille Mission.

Survivors include two daughters; Loretta Oswald of Forsythe, Mo., Dorothy Koenig of Cape Girardeau; two sons, LeRoy Sides of St. Charles, Mo., Clyde Sides of Arnold, Mo.; a brother, Willie C. Sides of St. Charles, Mo.; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, two sisters and a brother.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 8 to 11 a.m. Sunday at Young and Sons Funeral Chapel in Perryville.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. at Concordia Lutheran Church in Frohna with Rev. Wayne Palmer officiating.

Burial will be in the church cemetery.
