Note
Samuel emigrated with his parents. In 1644 and 1649 he conveyed land formerly owned by his father, calling himself "son of Reverend Samuel Skelton". He returned to England before 1645. His will dated 15 Feb 1663/4 mentions his wife, Margaret, and four sons.
