Milton K. "Bud" Ziegler of Perryville, died Friday, Jan. 21, 2005 at Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Festus. He was 83.

He was born Sept. 27, 1921 in Ste. Genevieve, the son of the late Louis J. and Leona (Hoffman) Ziegler. He was married March 4, 1946 in Ste. Genevieve to Dorothy M. (Arnold) Ziegler, who survives in Perryville.

Other survivors include one daughter, Ann Dorothy Sitzes of Jackson; three sons, Frank Ziegler of Fenton, Ken Ziegler of Pocahontas, Ark., and Raymond Ziegler of Ste. Genevieve; one half brother, Tom Ziegler of French Village; one half sister, Louise Enke of Perryville; and seven grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and one sister.

Mr. Ziegler was a World War II Army Veteran. He was a farmer and a member of St. James Catholic Church.

Memorials are preferred to Masses at St. James Parish.

The funeral Mass was held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 24 at St. James Catholic Church in Crosstown, with the Rev. William Thess, C.M. officiating. Burial was in St. James Church Cemetery with graveside military honors courtesy of the American Legion Post #133.
