Note
Levi was involved in the War of 1812; he entered in 1814 at Salisbury, North Carolina, and was discharged Aug. 1814. His first house was made of logs with a roof held together by logs. He came from North Carolina to Missouri in a 2-horse wagon and settled near Leemon.
