LEAD BELT NEWS, Flat River, St. Francois Co. MO, Fri. Jan. 30, 1948 MRS. THOS. H. AGNEW Mrs. Thomas H. Agnew passed away suddenly during a heart attack, at her home, 206 Crane St., Flat River, Mo., on Friday, January 23, 1948, aged 47 years 10 months 19 days. Funeral services were held on Sunday afternoon at the First Christian Church, of which she had been a faithful member for thirty-five years, conducted by her pastor, the Rev. William Walter. Interment was in Parkview Cemetery, with Alvin Hood Service. Iva Matilda Johnson, daughter of the late W. B. and Martha Anderson Johnson, was born in Ste. Genevieve County, Mo., on March 4, 1900. She was married on September 23, 1918, to Thomas H. Agnew, who survives. She also leaves five children: Preston, Bertha Mae and Bobby Eugene, at home; (Nadine) Mrs. Wayne Taylor and Leroy Agnew of Flat River. The eldest daughter, Martha Jane, died at the age of eighteen months. Besides her husband and children she is survived by two grandchildren, Donna Sue Agnew and Carroll Wayne Taylor; three sisters and three brothers, (Edna) Mrs. Marion Counts of Farmington; (Cora) Mrs. Elliott Boyd of Fredericktown; (Bertha) Mrs. E. S. Womack of Farmington Route Three; Lewis Johnson of Farmington Route Three; Brooks Johnson of Detroit, Mich.; and W. E. Johnson of Trenton, Mich. Her parents, a brother and a sister preceded her in death. |
