ROLAND E. BARTON

Roland Earl Barton, son of Mrs. Ida Barton and the late Emmett Barton, died November 25, 1956 at the St. Lukes Hospital, St. Louis. He was born in Elvins, Mo., on February 25, 1904.

He was married on June 24, 1924, to Miss Laura Abbitt, who preceded him in death. To this union four children were born, three girls, Jean, Doris and Janeth and one boy, Donald. Left to mourn his passing are his children, Jean, now Mrs. Thomas Berghoefer of Fenton, Mo., Donald Barton of Granite City, Ill., Doris, now Mrs. Robert Mudge of High Ridge, Mo., and Janeth Barton of Cantwell, Mo. He also leaves his mother, Mrs. Ida Barton of Cantwell, and four sisters, Mrs. Austin Spray and Mrs. Virgil Adams, Flat River, Mrs. Burton Baldwin and Mrs. Wm. Lunsford of Cantwell, also six grandchildren, six nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mr. Barton was a member of the First Baptist Church, Cantwell, Mo., to which he had been faithful since 1924. He was also active in the community life where he lived.

He worked for the Life Insurance Company of Missouri and recently received a ten year pin.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 28 at the First Baptist Church, Cantwell, conducted by his pastor, the Rev. J. B. Huffmaster, assisted by the Rev. Thornell, pastor of the Fellowship Baptist Church in High Ridge, Mo. Interment was in Parkview Cemetery. C.Z. Boyer and Son Service
