Notes

Note

Samuel Parker Hays (B 1858) died a few months before the birth of his son, Samuel Parker Hays, born Nov. 16, 1901. Samuel's (1858) daughter, Miriam HAYS told me that her father was a gambler. She also said she thought he was a "black sheep", and that she remembered money arriving sometimes from his family in Ohio. When Samuel's (1858) Father, Joseph Hurst HAYS' will was probated, it did not include any bequest for his widow or children, although it did include bequests for other children who pre-deceased Joseph Hurst HAYS.
