Obituary from Fairmont Sentinel
Leander D. Morrow was born February 26, 1865, near Oskaloosa, Iowa, where he was baptized in the Methodist church. As a young man he worked on the farm. At the age of 20 years, on September 1, 1885, he was married to Miss Mary F. Douglas, who with him shared the pleasures and burdens of married life for almost 45 years. To this union were born nine children, six sons and three daughters.
About 19 years ago the Morrow family moved to Minnesota and settled on afarm near Blue Earth. After four years, in 1925, the family quit farming and moved to Fairmont where Mr. Morrow bought a home at 725 East Fourth Street. Of late years he was employed by the city.
Last Saturday while at work Mr. Morrow was stricken with severe pain and on Monday, May 14, at the age of 65 years two months and 23 days, he passed away of heart failure.
Those who mourn the sudden departure of a good father are his widow andnine children, eight of whom are married. They are Ora; Hazel, Mrs. Amon Nelson of Alden, Iowa; Homer, near Truman; Glen of Welcome; Lena, Mrs. M. Sisson of Fairmont; Earl of Iowa Falls, Iowa; Lloyd, of Fairmont; Leone, Mrs. Frank Nelson of Alden, Iowa; and Wayne at home; three sons- (missed the rest)
Article on his death in the Fairmont Sentinel;
Leander Dennis Morrow, 64 years old, an employee of the city died suddenly at his home at 725 East Fourth Street at 6 p.m. yesterday after a short illness.
He had worked as usual Saturday and appeared to be in his customary health. He was up and about Sunday, and about 9:30 a.m. complained of severe pains in the region of the stomach. He grew steadily worse, but yesterday morning a slight improvement was noted. It was only temporary, however, and a relapse occurred a short time later.
Because of his suddenly weakened condition it was not deemed advisable to remove him to a hospital. Conscious up to the last, he died shortly before 6 o'clock.
An autopsy held shortly after his death revealed that death was due to heart trouble, Dr. R. C. Hunt said today.
Mr. Morrow was born in Iowa. During his early years he engaged in farming. For five years he operated a farm near Guckeen, and 15 years ago moved to Fairmont, where he had since resided.
He is survived by his wife and the following children: Ora, of Fairmont; Mrs. Amon Olson, of Alden, Iowa; Glen, near Welcome; Homer, of near Truman; Mrs. Monte Simon, of Fairmont; Earl, of Iowa Falls, Iowa; Lloyd,of Fairmont; Mrs. Frank Nelson, of Alden, Iowa, and Wayne, of Fairmont. He also leaves five brothers and one sister.
Funeral services had not been definitely completed today, but will probably be held at the Methodist church at 2 p.m. Thursday. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.

There were a lot of conflicts between the articles on where they lived when and even within the obituary the dates don't make sense.
